— About
Sometimes I won’t take the picture.
Sometimes I’ll leave my camera at home or only let my finger dangle above the shutter. Sometimes I’ll watch the light without looking through a lens or tinkering with composure in my head. Sometimes I don’t want to be interrupted and it’s at that moment that I want a photographer.
My name is Parker Marie Inniss and I am obsessed with light. Although a California native, I recently moved from Nashville, TN to Boise, ID in search of the perfect mountain sunset. You probably know what I’m talking about — the ridiculously-in-your-face-sun shining streaks through the enormous mountains that are eating up the horizon. That sunset. I’m obsessed with light.
I have carried around a camera ever since I could walk, but have been practicing photography for the last five years. I have worked with seniors, families, couples, children, and individuals seeking the best light.
I am a storyteller and love the heart of photojournalism: telling the story that would be left untold. I worked as a contributer for The Daily Beacon, a student led newspaper in Knoxville, and have covered stories on new restaurants, booming technology, change-seekers, and honestly anyone who would let me.
The photographer shouldn’t create the story. You should. They should just be there so you can enjoy the moment and they can do the work.
Let’s chase that mountain light together:
